I saw Reema perform at the Community centre in Belmont. I was blown away by her choreography, expression and bravery in telling her truth! No wonder she has had such positive reviews on the net from her performance at the Edinburgh Fringe!! Her production embraced her culture, her story, which is common but often hidden for fear of judgement, had reality, humour and bravery!! I am a big fan and I will definitely keep myself updated on any future productions from Reema!! Hoping it’s the big Stage next!! My sincere best wishes to Reema on her journey towards greater glory. Reema’s one-woman show is a captivating journey through the highs and lows of life, love, and self-discovery. With warmth, humour, and an emotional honesty that cuts straight to the heart, she weaves tales of toxic love, people-pleasing, tangled family dynamics, parents, young love, and a Bollywood marriage. Her reflections on boundaries and finding herself are beautifully interlaced with joyous bursts of Bollywood dance, moments of laughter, and moments that bring both tears and a lump to your throat. Though grounded in the rich textures of South Asian family life, her stories are universal—anyone who has ever navigated love, loss, or family expectations will see themselves in her words. Reema’s performance is raw and real, moving seamlessly between the funny and the heartbreaking. Her stage presence is magnetic, her timing impeccable, and her script keeps you hooked from the very first line to the last. Days later, I still found myself thinking about her show—her storytelling lingers, like the aftertaste of something both sweet and bittersweet. Reema is a rare talent, a true star, and her show is utterly unmissable. Bold, brave and just brilliant! - Sue Heiser — ☆☆☆☆☆ (0/5) — August 9, 2025
I wish Reema every bit of luck with her show as she so deserves to get her play heard. I was blown away by her talent and the way she held the audience throughout the whole monologue. The writing was authentic and engaging, full of humour and emotion. I thought the use of costume was brilliantly well done. It was such a great evening and I would just love to watch it all again. - Anne Johnston — ★★★★★ (5/5) — August 9, 2025
This show far exceeded my expectations and I’m still reeling from it. It might have Bollywood dance, but the story is incredibly universal. A journey into finding yourself, reconnecting with your gut, despite being brought up to suit a specific mould is a story most people will relate to. This is about liberation and courage. We all need more of this in our lives. I laughed, I cried, and I will always remember this work. My only wish is for the artist to keep creating work like this. It’s a must watch. - Anita Ravalia — ★★★★★ (5/5) — August 9, 2025
This one woman show highlights the journey of many South Asians who navigate their way to appease in society, at their own emotional peril. It’s an honest glimpse of a life condensed in one hour with humor, wit and frankness which will shock some! It’s funny, it’s sad, it’s done with some Bollywood glamour. I wouldn’t miss it! - Karan Chadha — ★★★★★ (5/5) — August 9, 2025

Reema fearlessly shares her truth, illuminating the toxic cultural patterns many South Asians know too well, in a world that so clearly turns a blind eye. Through masterful storytelling, she invites everyone, no matter their background, to feel the depths of innocent love, loss, and grief. With Bollywood sparkle, heartfelt humour, and unflinching honesty, this is a powerful, universal story that deserves the stage. An unmissable experience. - Roi Sarig — ★★★★★ (5/5) — August 8, 2025

A Bold, Brilliant Triumph: Reema’s Journey is Unmissable What a powerful, unforgettable performance. This one-woman play about Reema is nothing short of a masterclass in storytelling — a rich, engaging tapestry woven with humour, heartbreak and defiant hope. From the moment she steps onto the stage, the performer commands attention with effortless charisma, drawing the audience into Reema’s extraordinary life with warmth, wit and emotional depth. We’re taken from her unlikely rise to becoming a master of peacekeeping — a role traditionally reserved for others — to the explosive aftermath of a lavish Bollywood wedding that was supposed to mark a fairytale ending. But it’s here, as the glitter fades, that the real story begins. Through Bollywood dance, razor-sharp observations and searing honesty, Reema peels back the layers of toxic love, cultural pressure, and chronic people-pleasing. The laughter she evokes is genuine and plentiful — but so are the tears. Her raw vulnerability is courageous, and the play never shies away from the difficult questions: Who are we when we stop performing for others? What happens when we finally say no? This show is not just a performance — it’s a reclamation. A beautifully told, cathartic journey of a woman learning to set boundaries, rediscover her voice, and step fully into her own power before it’s too late. Reema’s story will stay with you long after the final bow. ★★★★★ – A moving, witty and utterly compelling triumph.
