I absolutely loved A Better Memory at the Fringe. It’s a clever, original, and beautifully written dark comedy that explores grief, love, memory, forgiveness, and the fascinating—and sometimes frightening—world of AI. What really stood out to me was how the play makes you laugh while also making you think. The idea of an AI recreating someone we have lost raises some powerful questions: Can technology really replace a person? What happens when the memories we cherish don’t match the truth? And is it better to remember someone as we want them to be, or accept them as they truly were? Lubna was fantastic—her performance was engaging, emotional, and incredibly natural. She brought the character to life with such warmth and depth, and her timing in the lighter moments was brilliant.
