Fanny and Gina, your Womb Hosts with the most, invite you to a WOMB PARTY. Expect dance, games, interruptions and real-life stories in a vibrant celebration of bodily autonomy and the power of choice. Every-body welcome! Re-enter the womb this April and go on a journey with Fanny and Gina as they try, fail, and try again, to host a party of fun and games. A vibrant celebration of their most magical abode that keeps getting interrupted by unwanted thoughts and uninvited guests. Layered with dance, theatrics and real life stories from outside of the womb, this interactive dance theatre show explores themes of choice, bodily autonomy and reproductive justice. Expect WOMB PARTY to be a very special occasion that reminds us all of our power to choose. After the performance on Friday 25 April, choreographer and performer Sarah Blanc will host a post-show conversation with Amarnah and Stefania.

BIG TINGS. The first act movement was great, you could really see how this was a passion project and they had alot of fun developing movement that expressed the inner experience of the cycles. banging. The characters really take the audience on an explorative journey through the womb space and provide insights to expand the individual's awareness of the body and bodily autonomy. It took me to places of joy and inner turmoil, in a safe space of self inquiry and self empowerment. I feel grateful to have gone on that journey with everyone. A beautifully held, caring space for discussion and exploration. Really funny on the one hand but then personal, vulnerable, unexpected. Such a healing, generous and joyous show! Amarnah and Stefanania were both incredible in the way they held the space for seemingly every audience member and embodied vulnerability, rage, sexuality and freedom. Would watch anything these two make in the future. The Choreography and quality of movement was very high and the script was great. There are some lines I won’t forget for a while. “ The body speaks a language only i speak, yet I am never allowed to be the expert.” (Gasp!) The audio of testimonies was great. There could be more of that! And having real voices rather than actors would lend it an even greater depth. I would also make more use of the background as it seems slightly underused and otherwise distracts from the two fab performers. Fantastic work! I truly believe everyone needs to see this show. Womb Party really speaks truth to the experiences women have been subjected to surrounding abortions, due to the failures of systems and evidently people. The way Amarnah and Steph hold a space of care for each other and this subject matter is both brave and genius. We all need to attend a Womb Party, a space where the pain of change and letting go is acknowledged, where shame is relinquished with acceptance and vulnerability is welcomed.
