In their debut solo show, Syrian Cheese, standup and clown Edib Farhan survives exile from dictatorship, gender confusion and sketchy situationships, guided by their ancient desert ancestor, Amr ibn ibn ibn ibn ibn ibn ibn ibn ibn ibn ibn Amr. The show is an unhinged tribute to the core ideals of the Syrian revolution–freedom, dignity, and daddy issues. Edib carries audiences through the full spectrum of human experience–love, loss, and hunger for dairy. The show also got them disowned by their family. Was it worth it? Time will tell!
