Hot Comedy
Hosted by Eva Peroni a Comedy Bloomers semi-finalist 24 as well as Chortle Student comedy awards semi-finalist 2025 and Nicholas Elliott a former New York fashion designer of his namesake label N-P-Elliott (https://www.instagram.com/npelliott/). The show brings a comedy night that always has a truly societally representative lineup. An estimated 24% of the population is differently-abled, 7% are Lgbtq+, 18% are people who identify as non-white, and 51% are women but in comedy you would hardly think so looking at some of the lineups. Hot comedy goes out of its way to make sure everyone’s voices are heard, well if they're funny, not just a particular demographic. Their bills always have POC, Queer, differently-abled, Female, Non-binary acts, and because they are very ‘woke’ and representative they even have heterosexual white male acts too. As we all know how hard done by they are, Hot comedy should get a medal for their good work…. Comedy should be accessible physically and culturally to all, especially for people who are worried about being targets of backwards comics draconian views and ‘edge lord’ style jokes. Hot comedy , is a space for people who don’t want their race, gender, sexuality, or disability used as a punchline.
