16 Summers
One Gen Xer's nostalgic coming-of-age tale traversing the building blocks of his identity. Each stage we walk through is a lesson, a memory, a funny antidote or a conversation with the audience. Crowd work in a theater piece? Yes, so please be ready to speak and interact with Ayindé. The play is fixed around the cleaning of old memories in an old room where all that's left is memories. A cast of characters spinning from quickies, a corner store/family business, Ayindé's second home. Lucky for us, most of this takes place in the 90s.

As hilarious as it is poignant. Very energetic, dynamic and entertaining performance, and effectively staged with great lighting choices. Thoroughly enjoyed. - Na-keisha Pebody — ★★★★★ (5/5) — August 19, 2025
