Sami Abu Wardeh Hates You
Please sir, can I hate? Award-winning comedian Sami Abu Wardeh returns to the Edinburgh Fringe following his sensational 2025 hit show, Palestine: Peace de Resistance. One year on, Sami turns his gaze to hate. Why are only the far right are allowed to hate? Can hate help us? And most importantly - can hate be funny? The show has grown into a collection of silly stories that reflect the times we live in, weaving together two threads: stories of Sami performing comedy in this country since the start of the genocide, and stories from his childhood, flung across the Arab World. His first brush with racism, imperative advice from his father and turning on open mic audiences all feature in this punchy hour of political stand-up. In his first ever stand-up hour, Sami steps away from his clowning safety net, ready to take on the world with a scathing, incisive outlook.
